Your First Dance!
For some couples this is the moment they have been waiting for a long time, for others it is the most stressful moment of the wedding. We are talking here about the first dance, which has adopted in Polish tradition as an obligatory element of wedding fun. Why such a custom? It is probably a reference to the tradition of starting Old Polish balls with a solemn polonaise.
What to do if we are not dance masters and the very vision of this part of the wedding scares you? We suggest to give it up then! There is nothing worse than forcing yourself to do anything, especially on this special day for you. There are quite a few alternatives to the first dance, such as: dancing the polonaise with all guests, or organizing (together with a DJ or band) dance animations involving all invited guests.
